Free Meditation for Kings Road Shoppers in Chelsea, London, SW3
February 4, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Volunteers started offering a free weekly meditation meeting just off the Kings Road in Chelsea back in 1991. Easy to remember in these days of English drought it all takes place on Flood Street at the Remembrance Hall . It was hoped back in 1991 that this initiative might run for at least a few months, but due to the continuing attendance at the meeting it has become a feature of the Chelsea night life over the last 21 years.
On any given Tuesday at 7.30pm you could drop in and hear a brief introduction on this special method of ‘how to meditate’, beginners always being welcome. There is also an in depth extract on one specific aspect of the Sahaja Yoga experience via video.
Most importatly there is the weekly opportunity to experience going into meditation along with others, all of which deepens the individual’s experience of ‘thoughtless awareness’ which can be achieved and enjoyed!
Going beyond all our mundane thoughts, even for a few seconds or minutes, into the state of thoughtless awareness, can be an incredible experience, refreshing, rejuvinating, cleansing, inspiring. Chelsea’s Kings Road is always sure to be busy and bustling with activity, especially you might say…..mental activity!
Who could imagine that just a few steps away, there is an ocean of tranquility, serenity and mental stillness.
Come along and join in…..as we have people coming from Kensington, Hampstead, Earls Court, in fact from all across London and of course from Chelsea too.
