This 8 week course in Canada Water Library is for those who are new to meditation and would like to learn the basics in a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants will learn Sahaja Yoga meditation which is a simple and easy to learn meditation that helps you achieve a state of internal balance.
There are many benefits to meditation! It’s a wonderful way to relax, gain clarity and focus. Perfect for balance, it’s great in particular for those who have trouble slowing down their thoughts or need help to feel more energetic.
In this course we will teach you how to meditate, we will do a group meditation and each week we will cover a different aspect of life and how meditation can help you.
Free Meditation Classes
Sahaja Yoga is practiced all over the world and was founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970. It is for people from all faith backgrounds and everyone is welcome.
Please note that the course will run every Tuesday at 6:30-7:30pm starting on 10 May and the last day will be on Tuesday 28 June. All Sahaja Yoga classes are free and run by volunteers.
What you need:
- Willingness to try
- A desire to find more balance within yourself
- Willing to dedicate yourself to the full 8 week course (it’s ok if you miss 1 or 2 classes, but better if you’re there for all of it!)
- We normally sit on chairs, so there is no need for mats and no special clothing is required.
Directions: Canada Water is the nearest station. There are no dedicated parking spaces, but parking for four hours is available at the nearby Tesco car park, or surrounding side streets.
